Another amp?

Wasn't sure where to post this, but it the other speakers I'm using are SDAs, so I'm gonna post it here.

So, I received my GFA555 (original, not mkii) and its at the shop right now, so I haven't heard how it sounds with my SDA-2Bs. I worried that I might not be able to get the bass I'm looking for though, even with the amp and was wondering what my next step might be.

I was thinking, there's another GFA 555 original, and a Parasound 1200 (also original, I believe) for sale, each only $200. Now, do I get one of those and build a sub with a 15" Cerwin Vega that I already have (car speaker, but doesn't matter, right) and build a cabinet that might not actually happen for quite some time, or do I start looking for an equalizer?

Why don't you hook up the amp and listen to it for a while? And play around with placement of the speakers, which is critical for SDA's.

The 555 will have all the bass you need. If not, then you have either a room issue, placement issue or source issue.

Before you try to fix something, you should see if it's actually broken. How can you make such a statement when you haven't even heard the gear? Pretty ridiculous.

Thanks guys, I know I'm being a bit premature here. I get a little impulsive sometimes. I just thought since the other amps seemed like a deal, I might pull the trigger.

@FTGV, sorry, I should have clarified, the amp is at my shop, (playing music). The amp was delivered there, and I just hooked it up temporarily... because I'm impatient too, and wanted to play with the new toy before I had a chance to bring it home.

Being impulsive in a hobby like this will cost you big time money.
