Differences in the SDA-CRS

I am curious as to the history of the SDA CRS.. i have seen some with two tweeters and some with one. Does the interconnect plug being pin/blade or blade/blade have anything to do with the version/revision?
Anything better or improved about one model over the other?

Also, any good source of info on the stands? look simple enough to have fab'd out of square steel tubing and powder coated.
