Polk 6000 No Sound Playing DVD Player

I had a Polk 6000 connected to my TV with optical cable. My TV has HDMI's connected from DVR and Blueray Player. I have good audio from the 6000 from TV and Wi, but nothing from Blueray DVD player. The Blueray player does have sound thru the TV. Do I need to connect an analog cable from this player to the 6000?

    I need help with this too - but with the Surround Bar 3000 and a standard DVD player
