Seattle Area Mini-Fest

I think it's time for another Seattle area fest, and I'll take the lead on this one. My friend is opening in March a record/music/movie shop in Totem Lake in Kirkland called Vortex Music and Movies, and he's more than glad to host. I just helped him build a theater in the shop with a full 7.1 of vintage Infinity with EMIT tweeters. The picture below is from the back with the rear channels hanging from the ceiling. Any times or dates that work better for people?

I'll talk to Daren the shop owner and see what I can put on the calendar; I might be over there this weekend. He is now fully up and running open 7 days a week, so I highly suggest you go check out all his new and used music and movies. He has CDs, DVDs, vinyl, Laser Disc, box sets, all the good stuff enthusiasts are looking for; and he takes trades!

I was just at Vortex yesterday trading in a bunch of DVDs and loading up on music, and it sounds like almost any time is good for Daren. I'm thinking April might be to close to get a good group, but what about a Sunday at the end of May? Maybe the 27?

How about 2-6pm? Vortex M&M is open from 12-6pm on Sundays, so the later hours of that afternoon seem reasonable.

I don't think there is much room for equipment, but bring and CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays (including 3D), Laser Disc, or LPs to play on the system. If you have something to show off why not bring it, but I'm not sure it could be hooked up or integrated into the system.

Does the system have a DAC or other digital input (SPDIF coax)?
Did you say Laser Disc?! Wow, I haven't seen one of those in 25 years, if we're talking about the same thing.

Yes, that Laser Disc.
I would assume the receiver would have an extra digital and analog input or two.
