...and I finally get to see the Broncos in HD!!

I saw the cheifs yank another win out of their collective A$$ again! Gotta give 'em credit though, they came back from being down 14pts....twice.

How did your team do today?

    Cowboys 4 and 1. Haven't started a season that well since 1995....

    Slightly off the topic but.....

My son (10 years old) played a great game yesterday even though our team lost. He was blocking like a champ, even knocked the defensive linemen back about 5 yards....flat on his back. Then he leans over and points his finger at the other kids nose and yells at him "THAT'S how you block, I'll see you at the next play!!"

That was a 17 point comeback in the 4th, thanks! ;)

I didn't get to see much of the early action in the game, but I was loving the 4th quarter, especially with as many stinkin' Packers fans as there are around here. :D

Raise your hand if you had the Chiefs, Vikings, and Panthers being the last three undefeated teams in your office pool.

Im pulling for the panthers the whole way, if the Panthers go to and win the Super Bowl (which I have doubt) -- As they say "Let us shake this cave, and let that army hear us!" Charlotte will be partying! Oh yeah!

I missed the Pittsburgh game but saw the KC game CBS OTR high def in KC. The high def image is stunning but I'm not sure if I'm running my receiver correctly. I thought I read somewhere that 720p is what broadcasters are using so instead of upsampling to 1080i I run at 720. I really can't see much of a difference but am confused about all the formats?

As far as I've been able to find out, CBS is 1080i, ABC is 720p, and Fox is 480p. I'm not 100% certain but I believe NBC is also 1080i.

I've heard that FOX has seen the light and is supposed to upvert to 720p, but I'm not sure when it will happen. The picture from my local FOX stationis crap, of course that's when they actually get it on the air. Very disappointing to say the least. Lip-sync is terible, pixazation out the whazoo...and they have the nerve to call it an HD broadcast!

Correct, and Fox has stated that they will be HD by Fall '04.

You are running Directv right? HDNet, HDNet Movies, Discovery HD, HBO HD, and Showtime HD are all 1080i, and ESPN HD is 720p, if that helps any.

Thanks bud. I did not realise that about ESPN HD... I just assumed it was 1080i.

Maybe them and one other team, but since the Bengals beat the Browns can at least infer they might have been able to beat the Raiders...

Congrats, fireshoes on a great win by your team. The Chiefs took advantage of the few mistakes the Packers made and exploited GB's sorry D line late in the game to stun Green Bay. The Packers obviously tried to contain Holmes and Priest and make Green beat them, which is just what he did.

Your team is definitely a legit contender. I wish I could say the same for my Packers. To many holes on defense right now to seriously challenge. But like someone said, it's a long season so who knows how things will finally shake out. When your team's struggling to stay above .500 you just gotta keep the faith and hope for the best. :D

I'm disappointed by the loss but not as bitter (or cocky, losing to Arizona will do that) as some Packer fans around here. :D

Good luck the rest of the way.

Shizelbs, no I'm not from Seattle. It all began back in 82 or 83, I was 10 years old when I became a Seahawks fan. I think it all started because I thought they had the coolest jerseys and logo. Ever since then I've been a die hard Seahawks fan and always will be. Not too much to cheer about the last few seasons so hopefully this year they can make some noise. I would love to come out there to see a game in their new stadium. It looks awesome and puts the Kingdome to shame. Have you been in it?
Having lived my whole life in the western burbs of Chicago I do like the Bears just not nearly as much as Seattle. The Bears have one of the worst if not the worst management in the NFL and are constantly ripped on in the media here. They are a pathetic bunch. Go Hawks!

    Man, after watching last season....

    What was it?

Won 3 games in a row, then lost all the rest?

I lost all hope in the Panthers. However the team this year is AWESOME! I am pulling for them all the way! Hopefully we can rock charlotte this coming January! Oh Yeah!

Actually they didn't lose the rest. They did lose 8 in a row though. They finished the season with a 4-1 run beating a playoff team and keeping another team out of the playoffs on the final Sunday.

Counting last year's end of season run they're 9-1 (13-1 if you want to count preseason).

    Bring on the Titans...
