Rough few weeks...

Wow, what a rough month of February we've had so far. Things have been crazy and this is the first chance I've had to sit down and see what's going on over here at CP in a couple weeks. I would make you guys a list of everything from the last month but you wouldn't believe it, I find it hard to believe myself. We've had several deaths with family and friends, loss of one job and a scare on the other, and some kind of virus that's made me ridiculously sick....and it was worse than it sounds.
I was starting to wonder how much we could possibly endure. Thankfully my job is good (turns out I'm even going to get a raise) and I'm recovering from whatever the hell that was I had, but to say the last month has been crazy is an understatement.
I know some are waiting on the results of my DAC shootout, but my life has been taken over by everything else going on lately. I do still have most of those DACs here and really have the comparison mostly done, just need to sit down and type up all my thoughts and need to find the time to do it.
I will say one thing along the lines of 'lessons learned', if you guys have family or friends that you haven't talked to in a long time, take them out for dinner or at least give them a call. It doesn't matter if you 'have issues' with them or just haven't had time to see them lately, get in touch.

QFT. Health is one thing you take for granted till its gone, loved ones are unfortunately another. Get better, get lots of rest and dont worry, we will still be here when you get back"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." I hear ya. I had some virus beginning of November, couldn't eat, couldn't drink, high fever, sore throat, ended up (probably) tearing my esophagus while vomiting which made the whole situation worse. Lost 28 pounds in 2 weeks, ridiculously dehydrated, got 2 liters of saline IV in the doctor's office and still couldn't pee. Worst diet I've ever been on!
Chin up, things can only get better, right?"Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason." -

Sorry for your losses, and I'm glad things are getting back on track for you. Life has a way of giving us these hard life lessons to teach us not to take things for granted like family and friends. Life is way too short for petty squabbles that could end permanantly with a sudden death that leaves you with a hole in your life you didn't know you would have once that person is gone.
In comparison, audio gear falls to the bottom of the list of important things in life.
