speaking of Polk Audio (original) Model Nines

OK, no one was... but I just saw a really interesting (to me, anyway - I don't get out much!) auctinn on good ol' eBAY for a pair of CTS woofers. According to the seller (and I quote):
Curiously enough, these were used as a passive radiator in the model 9 and I believe the model 9A also. Each cabinet held one woofer. CTS model s 8W7C and is 8 ohms. I have checked them both out and they play.

I really,truly don't think this is what is in my Model 9As downstairs (I can check...); any of you gurus happen to know if there is veracity in this claim? Just curious.

2) My apologies if it turns out - and I wouldn't be surprised if it were the case! - that the seller is a member here.

(oh, and I 'borrowed' the auction's photos - nice looking basic CTS AlNiCo drivers with a very old school CTS logo)
