A very nice vintage Harman Kardon Twin Power AM/FM stereo receiver. This is not some pawnshop/ estate sale, gaurge sale find. It is my own personal item . This unit was made 1975-1977 . It weighs around 25lbs and puts out 25 watts per channel . It can handle 2 sets of speakers and has a very nice phono stage. and a nice tuner section . The receiver features HKs Twin Power system with dual transformers and seperate power supplies for each channel. Many folks feel the 630/930 and 430/730 are the best receivers HK made. I can tell it puts much more powerful units to shame with its open and very natural sound. I have the A 402 integrated (same as the 730) I am keeping for now so this must go.

The receiver needs nothing as all controls and lights work as they should. ( I replaced dial pointer light bulb). That alone is very rare. There is the usual slight pop when turned on and off if the unit sits for a long time. There are a few very fine scratches on the cabinet. The fact plate and dial are very nice with a few tiny dimples under the controls. The A speakers terminals have been replaced with posts that take wire, small spades or bananas. The power cord has been repaired as I use a detachable cord for my gear. The unit looks extremely sharp.

All in all way above average and very nice and the sound is pure Harman Kardon from this classic era. The fact that it works right out of the box with no need for service or light replacement makes it all the better.Check my feedback

I had a 630 that I loved! Thrift store find that only needed fuses. $10!
Listened to it for quite a while but had to sell it to pay for other needed items. I miss it!

This is a "really' nice sounding vintage receiver...more powerful than it's watts suggest. A very "sweet" and "musical" piece. In some ways I actually prefer it to my more powerful 730 (which could probably benefit from an overall upgradel--new caps, etc.).

I had a pair of Dynaco A25s running on the 430 and (what can I say). It was a marriage made in heaven, a near perfect match. I'm sure this would pair up well with older Polk Monitors (in fact I should hook some up to prove that) and any ADS bookshelf, etc. If you don't have "any" vintage pieces at all, this IS a very very good place to get into that scene. You "will" be happy! The twin power design is absolutely "wonderful" for a clean and separate stereo output!

    GLWTS!
