After 2 weeks or so of running the TV through my new Polk TSi 100s (via an 80s Sherwood stereo receiver) rather than the speakers built into the TV, my wife has finally acknowledged that the sound is better with the Polks.

Now to convince her I need more gear....
Stereo:
Sherwood ST-880 turntable
Sherwood S-2620 receiver
Tsi100 speakers <-- This is my starting point.

Congrats....now you can sneak in a pair of giant Rti-A9s to replace the TSI-100s and a monster power amp for them. Then add a CSi A6 up front. Move the TSIs to surround and she'll "really" think the sound is "better". lol

My wife still can't figure out how to turn on the main TV because it has a cable box that must also be on and ONE remote is used to perform "both" operations. Oh, and we're still working on whether or not HD looks better than SD? lol

Of course, not getting laid off the day I posted this might have helped.

Just apply lots of love, affection, flowers, and LIE alot.

P.S. Have you not mastered the art of "breaking" your own equipment yet? Ah grasshopper, stick around, we'll hook you up.
