RTi A3 Refurbished Question

I have been looking at bookshelf speakers and like the Polk speakers I installed in my truck a year ago. I plan on setting up a basic 2.1 setup. What I am wondering is if it would be better to get the RTi A1 or A3. I am guessing the A3, but I figured I would check.

I found place about an hour away that is selling "new but unboxed" black A3's for 300 includes warranty. This seems like a pretty good deal to me, but was wondering how much the refurbished R3's typically are from Polk Direct Ebay store and how often if ever that they are listed, since neither the A1 or A3 are currently. I'm basically pretty new to speakers and am wondering if I should pick these up or wait and get refurbs. Going to look at them tomorrow with a more experience friend. I do prefer the cherry rather than the black ash which is why I'm wondering the price of the refurbs also buying refurbs might be smarter?

Thanks in advance and sorry if I was vague about anything. If you have questions just ask and I'll check.

Also what if the ones being sold near me were refurbs? Is there a way to check and is that a problem?

Alright apparently I can't go look at it because they have a bunch in a warehouse or something. Still thought I'd like to know how much the Polk A3 refurbs are and how often they show up on their store and if I should buy these or wait for refurbs. Thanks again.

As long as that store is an authorized dealer, I'd say go ahead and get them. Just call the CS # at the top of the page to confirm that they are in fact kosher.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

If i recall the A3's go for about $260 on the polk ebay store. Free shipping I think as well.

I would go for the A3's over the A1's unless it is only for a bedroom or something. I have the A3's and really like them. They sounded a lot better when I added a sub, but i think that would be the same with either of these 2 speakers.
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

I emailed him and he said they are like-new and no blemishes. However now I'm wondering if I should just hold off and wait for the refurb if I can get it in Cherry and the price would be even lower. And there would be more of a guarantee on quality since Polk Audio would have run tests on it and fixed everything. Am I wrong here? Also how often do they show up on Polk's store roughly? I mean I don't want to wait a year but I can wait a few months for sure.

Alright sorry to double post, but basically all I need is two questions answered. How often do RTi A3's usually appear on Ebay Polk Direct and what is the price typically?

Thanks, sorry this is just sort of urgent.

    300 seems expensive.

Wait for them to be available on the ebay store or on sale on newegg or jr or crutchfield. Always buy from an authorized dealer so you can have the 5 year warranty.

They pop quite often on the ebay site, just check couple of times a week, usually more in black than in cherry but both show up.

    Good luck,
