I have a pair of these made. Each one holds 40 cd's and they have the "pop-out" inserts. That means no fumbling trying to pull out a disc, especially if you have fat hands like me . You just push in and slightly up and the cd springs out enough so you can grab it easily. When you replace, you push in and slightly down and it locks in place. Very nice feature. $200 each. The nightstand shown is available as well(I have a pair of those too )

Agree completely.....only downfall is I would need one to hold 1500CD's -
How much for the night stand(s)?

That works out to be $7,500.00. Go for it! -
I have tons of cds too, but tend I find myself listening to a select few dozen. I keep my most played discs in the smaller racks and near the system. I do make tall, single tier/column ones that hold up to 100 or so. As far as the nitestands, I will sell for $350 each. Remember, I make this stuff from solid stock from the rough form and try and do quality finishing. No junk filler woods, mdf or just air-nailed together. Most furniture that I make is mortise and tenon, like the audio racks(another thread), and very time consuming.Jeff

Hello there everyone in the CD/woodworking world. I also know the value and agree, these prices are great. Woodworkers just don't get what they should sometimes. There's a similar highly skilled woodworker near me selling a $3600.00 Beautiful figured maple bedroom suite for $1800.00 at a 1/2 priced sale. One of the most beautiful bedroom sets I've ever seen. Just imagine these racks or cd holders in a bedroom suite with some parts stained dark for contrasts. God, I almost bought this suit near me a couple of months ago. Really!
I spoke a while with the guy and he too, starts with rough lumber and joins the joints to last a lifetime or three. The three coats ( I think he said 3) of finish takes time and money too. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
