well, bought the monster cable, hooked everything up, tried to test it out, and the CD player takes a dive. I tested both the power wire and the acc and both give out numbers, so it's the head unit. I am considering the Alpine cda-9805(2V front, 4V sub). The Panasonic CQ-HR1003U (all 5V) is like 170 (thezeb) which is cheap and I like the design. Are these good units? Need something simple with descent anti-skip. Also, I saw a panasonic cq-dfx501u for like 140 on refurb depo. Never heard of it, but it has all 4V outs. Any feed back would be cool, or any other suggestions in the same price range. Thanx.
