Model 7A Upgrades

New poster here. Have Model 7A's w. peerless (1977 ish)...are there any upgrades that make a noticeable difference that a novice could do? thx (searched this part of the forum but didnt come away with any definite answers - sorry if already addressed somewhere)

God yes, spike them, new gaskets, binding post, upgrade caps and resistors, dynamat the driver baskets, add Norez to the cabinets and if you can find some of Larry's rings should get you started.

Welcome to club Polk. Everything Tracey said, plus if you're using a nice amp and don't push the volume to unreasonable levels, consider overriding the fuse out of the crossover circuit.

Thx for input. Now like I said Im a total novice! What type caps and resistors etc? Is there a reference in here somewhere that would have directions on how to do this? Thx again!
