My Polk RTi A1 score

...Actually, the score is for my son who will shortly take ownership of these beauties if he can pry them from me. Got these on clearance from the local PC Richard for $120 for the pair with 24 months 0% financing and interest. They were marked 170 down from 299 so I asked the salesman if he could go lower. He asked me to name my price and I said, "I can do 120," and he said, "Sold!"

My son currently has a pair of Dayton B652s but he's been into recording lately and had just gotten a new Behringer mixer so I figured he could use a nice upgrade. Wow, these do sound nice, though! The amount of clean bass that comes out of these things just doesn't seem physically possible. I had to keep pushing the "direct" button on my remote to make sure my sub wasn't on.

So, was it a good deal?

    Cool, eh?

Polk hit a sweet spot for price/performance in the RTi bookies!

Best I've seen is the Rti6 on for $199 I believe the RtiA 3 is the replacement for it in the A series. Still at $120 I would of taken them as well

Great deal indeed. Lower than my 130$ brand new RTi4!!! (and yet, my RTi were discontinued, so it was normal to have them at a lower price)! Good job :P

RTiA3 do dig lower and with beefier bass, but otherwise, there is almost no difference.
