With respect to the listener, how far to the side and back do the ceiling speakers go

I am going from rear mid-sized bookshelf speakers (Mirage Omni50) to ceiling speakers (Polk 90RT). My seating area is about 3' from a wall on the one side and a large tiled space in back of the couch (approx10' from the rear wall). Basically, where is the best place to install my ceiling speakers?

    Just like any other speaker (albeit a little more of a PITA to experiment with), place them where they sound best to you.
    If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.
