SVS causes TV virbation

I just got the 20-39PC+, it's great... but... when I played LOTR FOTR, the TV screen virbated a couple of times.... even the TTT trailer in disc 2 of LOTR special edition caused virbation. The sub is located in the corner, 2 ft to the TV (behind it, in the 2pm direction). It's the best location in my room, by moving to another corner, I lose 5db (now i know, placement really makes a diff).

So, is TV virbation caused by a sub a common problem? Should I move it to another corner, give up some db but save my TV?

thanks

Mine does the same thing. The protective screen vibrates. Welcome to the world of REAL subwoofers.

The service tech said it probably won't damage the TV; these things are screwed together pretty well.

However, I did learn (and it was proven to me) that moving the sub even a little throws off the convergence and I previously had thought RPHDTVs were relatively immune to mag fields. The magnet in the dB12 driver weighs about 20 pounds and has a very high field strength and is not shielded. So reconverge when you move the sub around.

    Sidebar:

I recently thought the sub had actually bent the screen (not the protective cover), but the service tech said the horizontal circular aberrations in the screen were normal and sure enough all the other Hitachi's I looked at had the same thing upon close inspection.
