Celebrating Arizona's centennial today. 100yrs ago today, Arizona became the 48th state of the union; because the US was saving the best for last!

Our state flags 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies, the copper star represents the copper rich environment in Arizona, and the blue field represents Liberty.

The 13 stripes are aligned in an array that is commonly seen in Arizona skies, when rays of light dispersed by clouds create this strange visual phenomenon.

Happy Birthday old girl!

Happy Birthday to the great state of Arizona. Home of a few UFO super highways.

Most the times I spent in your great state have been in the Pheonix/Scottsdale area and north in Sedona. Beautifull up there but the people are slightly tilted.

You know, if you'd fill in some of them potholes you got, Arizona might be able to make something out of itself !

    Happy Birthday.

At least they do not believe in a big, intrusive government.

"Analysts say that this legislation will represent a dramatic shift of power away from local schools and to state government."

We got some frozen rain, that was about it. No snow. The rain only lasted about 15 minutes. Our house is at 4640ft elevation.
