I am adding a new HD to my computer and was looking at sound cards.I currently have an ethernet connection from my Cisco Network to the squeezebox and wanted to know if i installed a ASUS sound card with SPDIF would i be better off running a coax line from the pc to the SB Touch or would it not matter much for sound quality?
Not interested in wifi for the SB.Too many wifi things pulling at it already so i prefer a solid connection.
Suggestions please?:question::confused:

    I think your only choices are wifi or ethernet. The SB does not have audio inputs - only RCA and optical outputs. Otherwise, I'm confused about what you're trying to do...?

    You'll have to go ethernet.

    Soundcards are generally a bad choice for the best transfer of music. What on earth are you trying to do? Go Ethernet or wireless, there is no other choice.

    Try the wireless, you'd be surprised how much you can run on it. If not, then your only alternative is ethernet for a hard wired input.
