two new arrivals

Just added to my collection! A pair of monitor 7's and a pair of monitor 12's. The 12's will be used for background music ( for the time being ) the 7's in the bedroom ( they are in a shootout with the 5jr+ and in the first 20 min. Of listening they are holding there own.) Need to spend more time with them but I do like the 5jr+ for there warmth.just curious -- what is the repacment tweet? Rdo 194 or the 198? Haven't had my ears on them long enough to say they need an upgrade yet but
just asking. And will they benifit from some dynamat?

    Which tweeter do they have currently?

    Peerless cant be swapped for any RDO

    Sl1000, sl2000 = RD0194-1

    Sl2500, sl3000 = RD0198-1

    Haven't pulled the tweets yet, I assumed they were the sl2500, they have the opaque milkie dome on the tweet. Will Jave to pull when thru listening. Will try to post picts but I have trouble doing that with my phone here.

    Opaque sounds like sl2000. The sl2500 only came in Series II Monitor line and not as many were sold as with the sl2000.

    They do look identicle to the 2000's in the 5jr+ never seen the peerless.

    Ok pulled a tweet and it is a sl2000. So it should take a 194 without changing the caps (if I have that right)

    I think so as well. I have the rdo194's in my rta12c's and they are very sweet in comparison to the sl2000's
