Hello , I am looking into a pro audio Qsc rmc 2450 amp to drive my speaks. Just returned from Guitar Center where they are sold . I was asked what the speakers peak and continous watts were ? From the specs i have read they only state 10-750 for this model .What does that mean ? The guy at Guitar center did not want to sell me any amp that had too many watts. The pro gear has really high watts (some as high as 2400) . Does anyone know these specs ?

Please, please, please don't sully those beautiful speakers with pro audio gear.

"Pro Audio" rarely means "Good Audio". Too often, it's a combination of high voltage, moderate-to-high amperage, and high distortion.
They didn't want to sell you "too many watts"! Woof. You need another amp store.
There has been a pair of SRS-2s for sale in the Minneapolis area for a month or more. You the new owner? -
I drove my 2.3s (they're also rated for 750wpc) with a qsc 2450. It's not the best amp by any means but it will get the job done till you can get something better.

There are some people who should not own SDA's.>

Building on that statement, I have a bad feeling this story (about this particular SDA/Amp combination) is not going to end well.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

I own the QSC RMX2450 and let me tell you it is not audiophile grade at all. It is OK if your looking to run some subs in your setup but for full stereo sound you would be much better off with something like the B&K ST140 for 200 on ebay all day long. No it is not as powerful but way more musical in every way.
Audio isn't all about watts, it's about clean sound and good quality gear.
You owe it to yourself to hear what SDA's can do. Not just loud but awesome and clean. -
From what I remember, that QSC is about $500. There are so many other amps out there, albeit they will be used, that are a MUCH better match for the SRS 2s. Keep your eyes out here on the forum or on eBay, there are plenty of good deals. I am partial to Parasound myself. I run the HCA-3500 on my SRS 2s, but that will be out of the range I think you will be looking in. IMHO, I would find a used Parasound HCA-2200II and call it a day. It is 385 x 2 into 4 ohms and will make the SRS 2 sing. There are several brands out there that fit the bill... Adcom, Rotel, Carver...
Are your SRS 2 the blade/blade or pin/blade?

Agreed; I sold my qsc2450 a while back and used those funds to purchase a Carver tfm45. Even though the Carver has less juice at 375wpc it smoked the qsc for sound quality. Carver-Polk also seem to a match up that's highly thought of around here.
