Im looking for a parasound HCA-2205 (a or at) amp. will consider anything parasound please let me know if you have one or know of anyone who is selling one. First post however I can provide feedback from other sites to show my history

    How about a pair of JC1's ?

    Your truly a lucky man to own a pair of JC1,s. If I were really rich 5 of these for HT would be ideal these are the best of breed. However if I had 5 of these the wife would..... well you know. Just curiuos on price, and as to why you would ever consider selling IMO an true example or parasounds finest work

    There are many reasons involved as to the decision for letting them go but hearing loss on one side is the main one.

    I gave another Polk Club member here 3k for the pair, that's what I'll take.

    I have a HCA 1200 in great shape for 350 plus shipping. Paypal gift please. Unless you want to drive up to St. Paul. Mn. ? I bought it from here two months ago and went in a different direction.

    for the price your asking they will move fast. you should have no problem selling them. I wish I were in the market for your amps and not the 2205. I also need a parasound C2, C1 or 7100 for amp when i find it maybe do a avc2500 but doubt it. again thanks for the offer......

    Ill have to pass on the hca 1200 for 350. thanks for taking the time to ask me and giving me the first shot but I have to hold out for a HCA-2205at and a 7100 or c2-c1

    Last year about this time I was offered a 2205at for $800.00 plus shipping on Agon.In very nice condition . I hesitated and he sold it. I purchased a Parasound 5250 in August last year from Pittsburgh Stereo for about $900.00 plus shipping and also got the 7100 preamp on ebay a month later. Having had the HCA1500 I wish I would have purchased the John Curl designed 2205at.That said, I am a big fan of Parasound. Sometimes it is all about timing:lol:

    thank you sir for the input and pricing. I too am a huge parasound well nut would be more accurate...to pick you brain what did you like or not like about the 5250 vs the 2205 and the 7100 are you happy with it. I cant decide if the extra money for the C2 would be worth it..

    Well,my Parasound HCA1500 sounded a little more warmer than the 5250. That said, I still love the 5250 but I was taking a chance on it since I could not afford the A51. I believe the older HCA amps are a great bargain used. When I was ready to go to a 5 channel amp I should have pulled the trigger on the HCA2205at and am kicking myself for it.That said, I got a great price on the 5250 I feel and they are now driving 4ohm Martin Logans with no difficulty at all. Barely gets warm .I believe the HCA amps are a great bargain at used prices and this is coming from someone who had several Carver amps,Adcom and Nad. Love the 7100 also but I was going from using a Marantz receiver to this preamp so I expected some improvement. Can not comment on the C2. Hold out for the 2205at and keep checking online. Though I see the secret is out and they are bringing bigger price tags.
