Computer Inventory Software

The company I work for is looking into doing a large computer inventory with scanning labels for each computer.

Requirements are:

Scan computers in and out of maintenance.
Record of past maintenance when computer is scanned.
Inventory of computer towers, laptops, monitors, and printers.
Scan using phone; android or blackberry, or barcode scanner
Able to export inventory to PDF or Excel spreadsheet
HT setup

    So can you define "inventory" a bit more. Generally, that means an inventory of the software installed as well as what hardware is present in a given system. That's generally tied to an asset tag, which can also use a bar code to record changes/moves. There's tons of packages out there, so the more specific about requirements you can be, the better it is. In any case, most offer trials.

    You can use Filemaker, Microsoft Access, or even Sharepoint.

    OK, let's take this from another direction. Have you actually defined a set of requirements for the software? Your responses thus far are too similar to customers that, when asked what they want to do with their network, answer "I just want it to be secure".

    These will not be customers computer rather a business inventory of the computers that we have and service.
