So I have a short in my much loved Grado Sr-60?s . They are a year past warranty. I called Grado and it?s 25 bucks to change the plug. I'm pretty sure the short is pretty close to the plug. Can I swap the 3.5 jack, do I need a soldering iron? Should I just spend the 25 bucks or try to diy?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You'll pay close to $40 round trip when you add the $25 repair fee plus shipping which is half of the current $79 delivered for the SR-60's from amazon.com . . . http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0006DPMU4/websitementcommu
You definitely need to be able to determine left channel, right channel and ground, keep the wires isolated, and be able to solder and properly insulate to do it yourself without introducing hum.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S
