Has the TL2600 Been Discontinued? Differences with TL1600?

I placed an order for a TL2600 at a site and they canceled the order and said that POlk does not make it anymore and a new version would be coming soon. Is this true?

Also, what is the difference between TL1600 and TL2600? Is it worth the extra price (almost double)?
