SRS 1.2TL'S with extras

Never thought I would ever sell these. I will always have an SDA speaker in the house but the time has come to unload some of my gear. I just have too much stuff. I'll offer everything here first. I live in Erie, PA less than 2 hours from Cleveland, Pittsburgh or Buffalo. SDA SRS 1.2tl. These were 1.2's that have been upgraded with the 1.2tl upgrade kit from Polk. It included 8 SL3000 tweeters, wiring harness and the TL crossover. They are in great condition in ligt oak. The regular interconnect cord the A-1 intrconnect cord and spikes are included. Sorry but I don't have the Bass Brace that would have come with these speakers when they were new. No box but I have the 1.2 manual. So also included in this deal will be the 8 SL2000 tweeters and the 1.2 crossover that were left over from the upgrade. I also will include the internal components of a pair of 1.2tl speakers. It includes 2 binding post plates 2 1.2tl crossovers with the coils and the 1.2 crossover plates. So what it means is you are getting all of the internal components minus the drivers and cabinets. One of the binding posts are broken and some of the ends of the wiring harness were clipped off but it would be easy mend these few problems. I am asking $2900.00 I will not ship.

    The preamp is in mint condition. It can't be told from new. I have the original box, manual, screwdriver and glove. If I need pictures to seal a deal I'll do it. Give me your email address and I'll do my best. I have webtv and can film them with a camcorder. Thanks Tom

    You will miss the 1.2 TL's if you sell them. Nothing else is gonna replace them. I give you less than a year before you buy another pair :)

    If he marks that 1.2tl down 1,500 dollars, I know an active buyer that would gratefully take them off his hands...haha

    Maybe so but I also think with the quality of the speakers and his attention to detail on the upgrades, not to mention the extras, that the deal is worth every cent. Keep in mind he has the real deal on the crossover, not just a quick upgrade of the tweeters. These have become "real" TL's at this point, not just a mismatch of drivers. Not only that but he is totally knowledgable on the SDA's which means he has not made any silly mistakes along the way like many others may have.

    $2900 for all this, not a bad deal in my opinion.

    Thanks madmax I'm smiling ear to ear. But he may be right. 2200.00 for the tl's, 8 SL2000 tweets for 250.00 A-1 interface at 100.00 the extra 1.2 crossover for 100.00 and the guts to a 1.2TL for 200.00 That adds up to $2750.00 So I was a little high. I said asking 2900.00 Maybe I'm asking so much because deep inside I really would hate to part with them. You can run the numbers anyway you want. How about $2550.00 Firm? Thats a deal all day long.

    Picked up the Anthem Pre2L from Tom, and I couldn't be happier.

    The deal was probably longer than Tom was wishing, but it was sealed and clean. I cannot thank him enough for his patience and friendly nature. He really wasn't kidding when he said "MINT", not that I thought he was at any time. The pre-amp really has character and that tube glow has me hooked.

    It was really nice to talk **** on the phone and find another very knowledgeable Polkie, SDA's specifically.

    I have been messing around, with my special tube glove, and have it hooked up to the Sony walkman, just for kicks. Sounds really nice, but I am half in the bag. I am expecting great things of this pre and I know it will bring me lots of love. Will post more when I get some more puzzle pieces snuggled.

    Thanks to Soupbone, a classic Polkie in every sense of the word. :D

    I sold most of my gear on this forum.
    The 5B's, SDA SRS1.2's, Anthem pre2L, A1 interface cable, Aragon 4004 amplifier and 8 SL3000 tweeters. The only thing I sold on Audiogon was the Vandersteen 2W subwoofer and I never expected to sell that on this forum anyway. I probably could have put everything on ebay and made even more money...... but that's not what it's all about. I think I got a fair price for everything on this forum and I'm happy! The Polk forum is great!
