Well, after a long period of finishing them up and getting them fixed before making any posts, here is the final product. I can't really say they sound great but maybe with some more work they will not sound so "bright"

As you can see, they really were 1.2s at one point. This is one of the empty cabinets that Larry gave me a few months back. I cleaned out the entire inside, restained and clothed everything, built some shelves, and turned it into my movie cabinet. Try not to look too closely at the pictures as the craftsmanship is embarrassing compared to a lot of the amazing individuals around here but hey, all in all it turned out pretty good. I still have the second cabinet in the garage waiting to hit the curb as I already sent the wood caps to doro on a karma a while back.

    oh the horror!

Prety cool though really! Another thing that would be cool. Is to, somehow, find blown drivers. Cut a new front baffle for the drivers and hinge it to the cabinet. Like a hidden safe?!? Or is that too dumb? lol

^ I have the baffle from the other one but the hinge part is nearly impossible. When you really strip them down and take that front baffle off, you arent left with a whole lot of plywood to use on the front edges for anything. It wasn't an easy project by any means especially when a lot of you know how much glue and other supports are in those damn cabinets.

Looks good, Nick! Maybe you need to throw some RDO's in there to tame the brightness.
