Anyone know how to fully fix this issue?
I have done the whole press the power button, hold. Get two beeps, look at menu....choose number 5 and then restore. It keeps corrupting again. I am thinking of just wiping the drive with DBAN or some other data scrub software and doing it again.

Looking for any advice to keep my information?
Thanks.

Most of your info should be stored on the ps3 account. and can be recovered . at least as far as the purchased software. You will have to re set all settings but the total restoer should do it.

How old of unit do you have?
    Too much **** to list....

Its the slim model. It is for a friend. She is not very computer smart. I was just wondering if there was an easier way then formatting the hard drive to FAT32, then having the PS3 do the rest. My tower is not nice when it comes to installing/removing hard drives.
She wanted all the saved game data if I was able to save it. It does not seem to be staying "healthy" it keeps corrupting.

If it keeps corrupting after doing a restore, you probably have a hardware problem. It would likely be one of the following, in order from most to least likely:
    1) Bad hard drive - They're mechanical, so it isn't terribly uncommon for them to wear out or break down.
    2) Bad/loose data cable - Try reseating the hard drive cable, or replacing it.
    3) Bad controller - Since this is part of the mainboard, you are quite screwed if this is the problem.
