Music is like candy, you have to get rid of the rappers to enjoy it

Hallowed ground! It's eerie to go there.

I think there's more theories about this song than the Kennedy assasination!
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Funny, that LP came out 12 years after the plane crash. At the time it seemed like a long time between 1959 and 1971. I bought the lp new in late 1971. It was a big hit in early 1972. So it's been 40 years since the lp was out, it seems like yesterday. Man, I am getting old.

Thanks for posting Doug. It's a shame what happened to those boys. RIP, they are rock and roll royalty.

I guess it's fate but I picked this one up this afternoon at the Salvation Army along with about 30 other good ones. I'll have to spin it tomorrow in his memory. Holly Smoke, I just looked this one up and NM is worth $50.

I was born in December of '58. My mother was a huge Buddy Holly fan. I have all of her original Buddy Holly 45's and LP's, many on the Coral label, and most in excellent shape. It must of been all that listening to Buddy Holly while in the pre-natal state because I have always been a fan and felt a special attachment to his music. I recently met a couple here in IA that had their first date the night of the Winter Dance Party and had some really good pictures from that night. If you ever get a chance to catch a Martin Zellar show at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake IA, he will do a Buddy Holly set that will bring tears to the old-timer's eyes in the back of the bar.
