Got the blue boards and remote. For appearance it has some scratches but does work fine.

I'll have to post pics of some of the scratches and dents but if you can live with it, its a great pre amp.

Letting go for 500 plus shipping. I do not have the original box but will be packaged well for shipping.

add 3% for paypal.

That is a great price. I am really glad I just bought a preamp. Otherwise, there is no way I could have turned this down as it would have made a prefect match for my scratched Proceed amp.

lol....the biggest thing is there is a dent on the corner one in the back and one in the front. I think its not that bad as compared to the guy that was on Audiogon saying his was perfect and wanted like 1K for it which is just stupid.
I would rather save 500 bucks or so and buy something else like a DAC or good phono stage along with it.

Phenomenal price. Now I could kick myself for just having overspent on a vintage Sansui twin power integrated!

Oh well, good for someone else!

As far as Adcom pre-amps go, this is one of the only a handful an audio nut should consider.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Would you mind listing your top 5 in this price range used? I am looking for a good SS pre but still saving up for a couple of months until I pull the trigger.

Thought so, I was just curious what else was out there around the $600-$800 range that this usually goes for. I'm saving up the pennies for one of these (again) but if there were other choices I would keep an eye out for them.

Great price on a Great Pre here, I hope Scotty got it.

Okay, I can not resist. I have always wanted to listen to one. If Scotty did not pick up, I would like to buy it. At this price, I could listen to it for a few months and put back on here (and hopefully just be out shipping).

are the areas with scratches the same areas described as dents?

To tell the truth i was kinda expecting a lot worse.

If so, and there are no functional problems, i will take it

For anyone looking for a great pre at an unbelievable price, this is the one! If I didn't already have one, I would be all over this! I am actually halfway considering it for my bedroom, but it really isn't necessary :) I love mine and will probably never sell it... If you want to take it to the next level, I had mine upgraded and it made a very noticeable difference. GLWTS, I don't understand how this is still here... Scotty! You need it!!

i believe that dc, I have heard nothing but praise for this, and doro even gave it his stamp.

The only thing that held me up was waiting for pics, because of the description of dents.

I believe, as a scrupulous seller, he oversold the damage, does not look bad to me at all.

BTW, i believe i just posted, pending affirmation that im correct that the small damage/scratches are all there is, that i will buy it.

So, technically, awaiting his acceptance, it is sold, and i wish it was here already.

And i CANT WAIT for audiolab to finish work on my time windows 3s, and get them home and listen to these together.

Larry check out big sky audio. They do an upgrade for like 350. I was tempted to do it but decided to get a new pre instead and just enjoy it a lot so figured it was time for the adcom to go.

Cant wait to get a tracking no. from cstmar on this pre.

Its always fun to check on the progress of something you have paid for, watching it make its way closer to you.

And when its something you are so sure will make a huge difference in your audio journey, well, lets say we are looking forward to that tracking no., or phone call, or email, or something,....cant wait.

BTW just received my David gilmour, remember that night bluray, still waiting on tom pettys damn the torpedoes.

Listening to gilmour through 2 channel in lr right now, will be checkin it out on ht in br tonight.

Sounds great, pic quality seems a little grainy, but i can live with that, mainly got it for sq.

Really looking forward to checking out petty br with reworked time windows and new preamp in system.

Little by little im closing in on something special here.

OOPS, the volume seems to have a mind of its own, and more, apparently.

Sitting here with deb, listening to damn the torpedoes on bluray, sounding good, all of a sudden, the volume starts going up, remote didnt stop it,by the time i jumped up and grabbed the volume knob, it was VERRRY loud, holding the knob, it kept trying to go up, thought it was remote, so, as i held volume knob still, popped batterys out, volume still kept trying to go up.

Flipped power switch on preamp, nothing, thankfully the master power switch on the back turned it off.

Just tried turning power back on, using power switch on unit,it came on on the third try, the first two came on, power light flashed bright then unit turned off.

tried adjusting vol., it went to halfway on its own then stopped.

The input selector seems to work properly.

Any similar experiences or advice would be greatly app.

Kind of a bummer, will also be awaiting cstmars input, i know hes been working long hours lately.

Whoaaa! I would have been fearing for my speakers lives. Glad you turned it off before it got to crazy. Go for the amp next time.
