Proper placement for ceiling speakers for 5.1 home theater?

Need advice on speaker placement for my new home theater setup. I have just order RTIa5's for the fronts and the CSIa6 for the center. For the interim i will be using my Onkyo sub. I also ordered 2 TC620i ceiling speakers to complete the 5.1 setup. I will be placing the LR fronts and the center in the proper position(s) for 5.1 setup. My question is where my ceiling speakers should be installed. I have 10' ceilings...and about 5' behind the listening area the ceiling starts dropping off at about a 30 degree angle into the next room. Should i place the ceiling speakers just above slightly behind my sitting position or mounted on the 30 degree angle which would be approx 5-8' away from the OP. My first thoughts was to install the 30 degree angle ceiling..spread apart extending just above the OP. What is confusing me is the "recommended" 5.1 setup is to the right or right above the OP. Really do not want to start making holes in the ceiling until i talk to the experts.

Also on the side note...will the TC620i be sufficient to suffice in my HT setup for mostly movies? I can send them back if needed...just trying to please the wife by taking down my bulky Onkyo's off the walls.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated...i am kind of second guessing my placement/ceiling speaker purchase.

A pic might help us visualize exactly what the room looks like. From what I gather from your post, you have a room behind the sitting area ? Don't you think an in ceiling speaker at that height will bleed that sound out into that room ?

Is it possible to put a smaller speaker like the Polk TL series on stands behind the couch ?
    HT SYSTEM-
    Sony 850c 4k
    Pioneer elite vhx 21
    Sony 4k BRP
    SVS SB-2000
    Polk Sig. 20's
    Polk FX500 surrounds

    Cables-
    Acoustic zen Satori speaker cables
    Acoustic zen Matrix 2 IC's
    Wireworld eclipse 7 ic's
    Audio metallurgy ga-o digital cable

    Kitchen

    Sonos zp90
    Grant Fidelity tube dac
    B&k 1420
    lsi 9's

I also would like to add...i would like to have the Fxia4 or 6 but due to space limitations(size of speakers) they will not fit due to sliding glass door on one side and a half wall on the oposite side. I guess i could place thes on the planter shelve in the next room..but then the speaker would be high(8-9') and about 15-20' from OP.

Tonyb..yes i need to supply a picture...i will draw one up tomorrow...i guess i have a less than ideal HT settup. Directly behind the listening area there is a narrow area to passbehind the couch and the kitchen "island". To the right i have a half wall and to the left i have a 3 pain glass door. Basically my only option in this setup would be to mount on the ceiling or mount on a small area on either side of the glass door (small 2' strip before it falls into the kitchen nook) and a small 1' TO 1' L shape before it falls into the kitchen. Or mount to the back kitchen wall as descibed in my previous post.

Had a lot of trouble with the program to make this PIC.
-Basically From TV to couch is 8ft - couch to bar stools/kitchen island is 4ft..Island to back cabinets is 6ft
-upper left on PIC is a door then a 27" frame before the 3 sliding glass doors of 9ft..then their is a 32" frame before it bends in the kitchen 7ft
-back wall with cabinets is 12ft and bends toward the first archway for 10ft. Cabinets then end.. their is a frame size of 13" before the entrance archway..after the entrance archway their is another 13" frame then their is a arch - half wall to the far wall next to the sub - the archways go all the way up - then leaves 13" before the ceiling
-the ceilings are 10ft up till in front of island then it gently slopes to 8 feet to the back cabinets
My present Onkyo speakers are set up the same LF,Center,Rf, sub...but the sides and backs are by the triangles pointing to the OP...ohh..i forgot a triangle above the arch behind the couch...i would like to put bookshelves or FXi's in their but they are too big(i believe)...
Thats why i was thinking of in ceiling speakers...but i hope the RTia5's and CSia6 will not overpower the TC620i in ceilings.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
