when i type in my zipcode on the dealer locator page, i get about 10-12 matches within 25 miles of atlanta. doing a little bit of research last night, i discovered that 98% of the "authorized" polk dealers... no longer carry polk products!

it could be that radio city electronics was bought out by a group of mexicans, or it could be that someone is too busy locking other people's threads down to stop and update the authorized dealer page.

i've got the money to drop on a pair of lsi9's, so when they're out, i want to be able to drive somewhere around town and pick up a pair... is that too much too ask?

That is the sound of me jumping on this bandwagon!

In my area there are only two dealers according to the website. CC and Hurricane Electronics. Last night, the lovely Wendi and I were going out to pick up our X-mas tree and I said to myself, SELF! since we are going by Hurricane Electronics, why not stop in. Anyway, I get there, Hurricane Electronics is a small CAR AUDIO shop inside Radio Shack. I pooped a purple twinkie. Even when the sumbitches hit the street I will have no where to listen to them.

    That sucks.

ONly one other dealer here in my Area and they do not offer the LSI yet. I asked Micah about other stores in the area but got no response...Someone has to do some selling to these Audio shops if they want them to sell, cause I dont think they will in CC for the price they are advertising.

even if i have to shell out a grand at circuit city for some lsi9's, i'll do it. i just don't know why polk can't get their stuff together and let us know where we can pick up those sweet new speakers.

Yea, I still like to buy some things retail because of the "instant gratification" and the UPS/FedEx person is already too busy ;)

I'll send this miserable thread to our SALES department so they can see that people are having trouble finding dealers that sell polk products.

In their defense, there was a horrible system of updating current dealers to the dealer locator list on our website with the old site. Of course, they should have no excuse now since I've made an easy to update -- idiot proof -- web interfaced system for making changes to the dealer list.

P.S. Easy with the mexican comments -- I'm mexican.

hey, nothing against mexicans. i was just making the point that radio city electronics in atlanta was bought out over the summer by a large mexican, or "hispanic", business group that just specializes in car audio, not home. sorry if i offended you...
