Hi polkies.Just thought Id drop a line to say the store is doing quite well.About 25% better than I expected and sales go up a little more each passing week.
Here are some more pics for you to check out.Youll also see my number one selling sandwich which just happens to be the pulled pork BBQ and its big brother,The giant pork BBQ....
Ill be bringing in slaw as an optional topping later this week:biggrin:

Please excuse the sloppy menu board. Its only a temp till coke brings me a nicer board to use.
Oh and the regular pork bbq has 3.5oz of pork and the giant one has 6oz and is served on a pacifico itialian hearth baked kaiser roll.A big one.And everyone always wants a little sweet baby rays sauce added.I thought it would be a nice idea to give them that option.

Just so you know, real pulled pork BBQ doesn't have tomato sauce in it.

Wha?? SLAW IS NOT OPTIONAL!!

But seriously, nice job. Didn't have anything like that when I went to college. I survived off of peanut butter sandwiches and ramen noodles cooked on a hot plate.

    FBM,

Congrats on the business! The first 8-12 months will be insane and tough. I grew up with many relatives in that same line of business, but with the additional petro pumps. They do have a few stores near Universities and some of the larger profit margin products involve a hot deli. One machine does all the work, deep fry, dispose into basket, and drains the cooking oil Some notable hot sellers are fried burritos, meat pockets, wings.... to name a few. Of course 'rain coats' too!

    Good Luck,
    Halen
