Excellent condition Cambridge DVD / SACD player in black. Bought it from a polkie in 2009 and it has seen limited use for the last year.
Original remote, power cable and a box (although it is for the 87 model). Not sure if I have the manual.

Spec sheet:

$100 + shipping and paypal
Possible trade for a Pio Elite, Onkyo or similar BDP. I don't need SACD in the bedroom but would like to have bluray.

I owned one of these. Great player for the price. One of the better entry level universals IMHO. GLWTS.

Nobody wants to try SACD?

Wish you would have posted a month earlier. Just bought a Pioneer dv58 for that purpose, good luck with sale.

Does this support both DVD-A and SACD via HDMI?
Many players of this vintage only support one or both with analog outs.My 7.4.4 DIY 4k Home Theater:

No idea...never used it for either. How would I find out? -
I believe that the DVD-A is output thru the 5.1 RCA only and SACD is thru 5.1 RCA or HDMI. You can contact technical support @ http://support.cambridgeaudio.com/register.phpCTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Thanks doro.
Searched through their FAQs a bit and found the following info...does this answer the question?
There is no digital output from an SACD disc via S/P DIF. This is something that is enforced by the manufacturers of SACD discs, for copy protection reasons.
The CD layer will give a digital output, but you will only get SACD playback through the RCA phono analogue sockets due to the reasons mentioned above.
The DVD99 and 650BD support DSD and PCM digital output from SACD over HDMI.
Similarty, other than via HDMI, on DVD Audio discs, the digital output will always be two channel, rather than multi channel.
and
Cambridge Audio supports HDMI 1.1 on its DVD players (limited to 2 channel PCM on the 80 Series units).
and
The DVD87/89 do SACD decoding on a DSD-PCM-DSD principle rather than leaving the stream DSD all the way through. Basically we are happier with the results we get with PCM and SPDif as we have much greater experience with these formats than DSD. -
That's strange but it appears that they only output DVD-A/SACD thru the Analog stereo outputs, not HDMI or Multi-channel. I'd contact them and clarify the Multi-Channel outputs and format support. Sounds like they weren't comfortable with technology when this model came out.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Thaks guys.
I've found that many DVD players of this era were still part of the SACD vs. DVD-A format wars. Sony was the SACD camp and the DVD-A were playable on most DVD players. Many Sony players will output SACD via HDMI, but not DVD-A. Lots of DVD players would output DVD-A via HDMI, but SACD only over analog, if at all.
I have a Pio Elite DV-79avi which will do DVD-A over HDMI but SACD only over analog outs. It's been modified to output video over SDI, which was the best way to get 480i into a video scaler back in the day. If it had the HDMI capability for both music formats I would not have bought another player to use as a music transport.
I have a DV-980H which does a great job on both via HDMI. The Oppo's were some of the first to output both over HDMI. The 83's and 95's will play anything other than a HDDVD and output bitstream via HDMI. Their resale values have held at a large percentage of original price because of this.
I was curious about he OP's machine because I'm looking for a third-system player that will do SACD and DVD-A over HDMI.
