Amplifier hook up.

Last week my amplifier finally came in. After looking at it in the box for about a week I finally took out the amp and checked it out. I never bought a amplifier before so I was a little confused about how to hook it up to my receiver. Any how I was just curious if anyone could recommend some good cables to hook up my speakers. I am not talking about the speaker wire because I have that already. I need cables that go to my receiver and into my amplifier for Front speakers, Center and rear speakers. So I think I will need either 5 individual cables or 3. (2 red and white and one single for the center speaker. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My receiver is a Onkyo TX-NR807 and the amplifier I just got is a Sunfire TGA 7201.

You need one RCA cable for each channel. Look at signal cable....the analog 2's, call Frank over there he will set you up and give you a discount if you tell him your a member here. Also bluejeans cables are decent to get you rolling, but signal cable is a notch above.HT SYSTEM-

So even though the back of the receiver has red and white inputs for front and rear speakers you can use single RCA cables?

Red is for the right, white is for the left. One RCA cable goes from the receivers front right to the amplifiers front right, and so forth for every channel. The center only has one, make sense ?HT SYSTEM-

Yes it makes sense. So basically you are saying that I can use individual RCA cables. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, but don't use those thin red and white cheapo ones that may have come with a dvd player or such, those are garbage. Look up Bluejeans cable or Signal cable for a decent quality interconnect cable.HT SYSTEM-
