Will a Kicker KX 800.2 bridged be too much amp for a MM104?

no, but you're not gonna like my reason.

you can sling roughly 550-ish on a polk momo 10... 650 on the 12... maybe a smidge more if you cross it over properly, watch the bass boost and ****, and keep your head about you.

the kicker bridged will be 800 x 1... and as of last note, kicker's amps were coming out below spec... so i would not be shocked to hear the 800.2 does 750 x 1.

so if u just keep the gain back a little bit, then that amp will do fine... giving u nice dynamic headroom, not overowrking itself, and staying distortion free. go for it.

Would it be better to go with a KX 500.2 and not push the sub as hard?

    How about an orion amp?

    Orion 6002 would be a more appropriate and probably a better amp anyway -- 600 x 1 bridged @ 4 ohms.
