well... I had to... you know... empirically determine what you found. Yup. Gives a pretty good idea of the definition.
Having googled images for "Christina Aguilera" after I responded to the initial post... I pretty much decided I'd hit the nail on the head.

Well I listen to music for the enjoyment that it brings to my ears not eyes, I suppose none of us look like we did when we were 21. On a side note Adele once said I make music for the ears not eyes which sums up my feelings on the subject nicely.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Last time I looked that was yiddish and somehow Hardy doesn't strike me a surname of that tradition. lol

Of course if you spent a dozen years in NYC that would be a different story. Then again it's probably also German and that's where you're getting it!

I definitely agree with you 100%. It is all about the music for me too. But, it is a nice bonus when a female singer is easy on the eyes as well as the ears...
Fully agreed, unless I am only listening but if there is video it sure is more than bonus to watch some that is worthwhile (what would be the sense to pay for the DVD???)...

Well why buy any music DVD that has anyone other than hot women singing? I suppose all my concert DVD's of the Rolling Stones the WHO, Bad Company the Eagles etc are now worthless because they didn't have a hot looking female lead singer? No doubt if the singer in question is attractive it is a bonus but certainly not why I buy music DVD's. BTW Face that is an awful thought you put in my head concerning the source of the streaks

I'd like that performance (and many of her other live ones as well) if she'd quit oversinging everything. These two comments from Youtube (despite the poor grammar) sum it up:
"cant you just sing it in a respectful way, without all the wahooahhwwzzawaaa crap. just sing it like etta james did. and u really cant even resist pushing ur fake **** up at a funeral? cmon now."
"Agreed. We we get it, you can sing, but do you really have to make so any noises between each word? :/ and that is no attire to wear to a funeral...it's a bit disrespectful."

All the constant "wahooahhwwzzawaaa crap" and the overuse of runs make it just plain annoying to listen to. Christina does have a great voice, and we know that; however, she needs just sing the dang song and stop trying to constantly show off.
