adcom amp and pre 250 dollars

gfa5400 Amp (125 watts) and gtp 450 pre purchased from original owner, have never had a minutes problem with either, normal wear and tear for gear this age.

More pics available to anyone interested.

looking to get a better pre, any trades for pre with phono and tone defeat are considered, thinking i will stick with adcom, since i will be using with another gfa5400

    That's an incredible "value" with the pre thrown in! Nice looking amp. These babies can put out almost double their wattage into a 4 ohm load and play "loud" and "clean"!

    Jim, you are first, will look up prelim shipping tonight.

    I think I might go ahead and find the double boxes for both, price packing and foam, and get a solid quote from the local pack and ship, based on weight, size etc.

    Hope you are serious, you could do a lot worse.

    How about some particulars concerning condition other than "normal wear and tear"? That could mean they're in awful condition. You should grade them based on the Audiogon scale at the very least.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    OK, 7.5 out of 10 to be cautious, and here are some new pics, in case there is interest.

    Amazing how bad a camera can make stuff look, a little scotts liquid gold on a rag would have been helpful, they look normal in real life, except for the few scratches or marks.

    these pics make them look like they were just dredged from the ocean.

    ^ It's not the shipping extra money that bothers me, because I know how expensive it is to package properly and have shipped. The problem lies in how that box gets treated along the way. I've heard the pre and amp combo when I took Scott his time windows and picked up the Boston T1000's and was tempted then. Should have got it then but have already bought a NAD 916 6 ch amp off the bay since then waiting on delivery that I was going to use for my front 3. I'll talk to Scott tomorrow and try to work out logistics of driving down 4hr's to his place and 4hrs back and maybe trade an item or two and see what we can work out. ( I won't save anything by driving but at least I know I can get it home undamaged).
