Slowly upgrading. I finally have my RTi A9's paid off. I am slowly upgrading speaker system I had monitor 60 front speakers upgraded to RTi A9's. Been using the CS 20 as my center channel speaker. Question is it worth the extra money to upgrade to the CSi 6A center speaker. OR I have some old infinity primus speakers as my back surround in a 5.1 system. Would it be better as my next move to upgrade them to the FXi A6. I guesss my question is which would make the biggest improvement in my system.

Thanks

I would upgrade the center to match the mains 1st, and then work on the surrounds. Nice system.

Congrats on the pay off! I'm kinda in the same boat, been using my CS2 with my A9's but will definitely be upgrading to the CSiA6 early next month.

What did you do with your M60's? I had M70's as mains and moved them to the surround spot. Pretty awesome.

Thanks Guys. I moved them upstairs to the living room. have them in a simple 3.1 system with an HK 2600 AVR. I been leaning towards the center speakers but the CS 20 doesn't sound to bad downstairs in the basement HT room. Thought about using as rear but not a good place to set them up at. I've seen on Polk ebay the CSi5 that they say matches the RtiA's. Has anyone matched these up?

I agree with Conradicles, someone else here at CP told me the most important speaker in your HT is the center. I made a small upgrade from a CS1 to a CS2 and noticed a big difference.

If you are using your setup for HT then your center is probably your most important speaker. Get the best center you can afford you will be glad you did. Then work on your surrounds. What are you powering them with?

All I can say is after doing the perfect match for my mains, with THE center channel.....different world. Just walking through the front of the sound stage area is seamless and as nice as your mains can be, that center match is what makes them "whole". Those 9's are something.....congrats.

Thanks. After the input so far, seems like a no brainer to go for the center channel. Looks like I'll be obtaining either CSiA6 or the CSI5 as my next purchase. I use mostly as HT. probably 80% of time and music the other 20.

Hey DJ, I power them with an HK AVR 354 as my pre and then power with the ADCOM 7000 amp. While I'm thinking about it does anyone know if I can bridge my amp and use it as a 3 channel amp and then power my surrounds with the HK 354? I could give the 9's all the more umph!

Hi there, I have a CSI A6 Center speaker which is BRAND New, I want to downgrade to the CSI5 because I have the RTI12 and the front mesh matches with the CSI5. Does anyone want to trade? I have the receipt and box and everything. please email me jasongranholm@hotmail.com

I considered the i5 to save some dough, the P.A. add does say; Recommended for RTi and RTiA series. But ended up going with the A6 strictly for cosmetic appearances.

Sorry I'm unable to answer your amp question. The matching center is definitely a huge lock in on sound! Once I got the CSiA6 in there to replace the CS2, harmonious choirs filled the room.
