Sexiest speaker?

What do you guys think is the sexiest looking speaker? Mine is the LSi series from the 7 all the way up to 25. They have a very classy European look to them that I just love. I like simple and classy. Even though I like my girls curvy, I love the slim look on the LSi. The 7 and 9's are slim and the 15 and 25 have more curves on the lower body(Yeah!). I see the LSi series as sexy females and the RTi as tough males who won't take crap from anybody.

Maurice...you need to get out more often....

However...I think Russ may agree with your observation...

That said...I've always thought this was a nice looking speaker.

Wilson's are really ugly IMO. Rocket loudspeakers look is very nice, nice finish and the woofers with no dust caps look very cool, another speaker with those type of woofers is the Revel Salon. That would be my choice for prettiest speaker, especially since it comes in so many color combos, I'm partial to midnight blue with aluminum sides.

I'll have to agree about the X1 its not that attractive in person... I liked the look of the watt puppy or sophia better...

This speaker is a work of art, dead sexy in real life!

    Avolon Eidolon

I listened to them on this rig which is F'n AMAZING! That Audio store is one of the best in the country. HUGE store! GREAT gear!

The store actually had the X1's sitting BEHIND that chair, not hooked up to anything, just sitting there... wonder what that says, I'm not saying the X1 is a bad speaker by any means but that's pretty bold!

I agree with Sean on this one. B&W Nautilus 803, 804 in Cherry. There's a set of 804's at my local shop I keep drooling over every time I see them. Stunningly curved.

CDM 9NT's are beautiful too. Oh, I'd also say CM4's are pretty as well for a petite little speaker.

    doro,
I am always curious if any of the KEF series, with the exception of their reference series, would be comparable to LSis. Have your ever compared these two? I used to own CODA II back in 1984, but couldn't even remembered what it sounds like, since I had it for a short while before giving it to my bro.

Price-wise, I guess just like any other import, its true value is about 2/3 of street price. Not many dealers carry 'em, but I remembered they were great with Jazz.

I know most of you have seen the tylers that show up on audiogon alot. I have seen some pics with some absolutely stunning finishes....most of them are just rectangle in shape...but between the awsome finish and the awsome drivers they use.....

Polkatese - I bought a pair of little KEF C15's, and a KEF C200 subwoofer module, a long time ago(1989), when I owned the Polk Mon10B's. The C15 was the basic bookshelf speaker they had at that time. No UNI-Q driver, which is very nice BTW, just a simple 2-way, common driver setup.

I purchased them for rear speakers, for an unknown reason now. It may have been to play my **** in DD, on Laserdisc...sheesh that was ages ago. Anyways, they sounded so much better, well let me be fair...different, and "live" that I swapped them for a few weeks and listened to alot of CD's thru them. I was really impressed by how clear and well rounded they sounded. The size was meaningless, they just sounded real good. Eventually they were moved to their purpose, but still my favorite. I gave them to my Stepfather a couple years back, and they still sound great.

I have always liked KEF, and have dropped in to demo some models over the years. I really like the imaging of the UNI-Q driver arrangement, perhaps a little focused, as designs may go, but very accurate IMO. KEF has the best tweeter I have heard to date....no fatigue, clear and defined. That is based on humble demo's, I have heard great many things of others. I have not heard the CODA's, but have heard all the 10*.* series, C * series and the Q * series. I haven't disliked a single one. It probably is the speaker that fits my ear the best.

It is a shame that they are overpriced, it is a great speaker. You are right on about support, they have few dealers in NA.

LSI VS KEF? I wish I could do something, or remember enough to gauge subjectivily. I can't, its been too long. They are a standout to me for what I do remember, and I think that would be a great demo or shootout. I, like yourself, have heard many speakers since then, and to fondly recall such an animal must mean something.

"Sonus Faber (who is more like a snobbish **** with class)"

Stop it Sean! I'm getting dirty pictures in my head.....But I love it!

And Shack told me I need to get out more often:D LOL.

Those are some nice pics you guys posted. rs159, I'd take the original color. That all American Nohr is too flashy:).

I don't know about you guys, but I think speakers look sexier with the grilles on. It's like seeing a beatiful woman. You can't help but wonder what's underneath their clotes. At first I liked the look of the LSi with their griles off but now it looks too "clinical". Very nice "nipple" tweeter though.

With the LSi, I see Catherine Zeta Jones or Famke Jennsen. Some may say the 15 and 25 remind them of J-Lo because of the lower curves but IMO she's too ghetto for the LSi. I see her in a cheap **** Technics all in one HT system. No matter how hard she tries, IMO she has no class at all. Her style is just upper class ghetto. Slightly above the hip-hop/rap style.

    Speakers. Sexy? Lives. G-E-T lives.

Regarding the KEF's you're right. A little overpriced. The gorgeous pair of 102's I bought with the Uni-Q driver...well I should've talked the guy down to $25 instead of just forking over the $26. Keeps me awake at night it do.
