    Those are not very good speakers. They may be worth the money, but don't buy these thinking you're getting a real pair of Energy speakers, we kissed that goodbye when they were bought by Klipsch.

    Energy hasn't made a speaker that I like in several years, and what a shame it is.

    Most Energy speakers use some kind of Alum dome tweeter. These are a soft dome. I don't believe Energy even offers one of those.

    Interestingly, one of the reviews on newegg seems to indicate that this is not "truly" an Energy speaker:

    These are a rebranded pair of Jamo speakers (which I own); Energy recently acquired Jamo. They sound great, especially for the incredibly low price. The mid-bass is a bit boomy, and there's not really a huge deep-bass extension, but overall, the sound signature is quite clear and smooth.

    I suspect this guy is right and Klipsch is **** around with their offerings! More sales for Polk!!

    I agree witih the newegg review, I think this is likely a rebranded Jamo speaker who Klipsch has also purchased. it looks a lot like their S4XX series speakers.
    Main 2ch -
    BlueSound Node->Ethereal optical cable->Peachtree Audio Nova 150->GoldenEar Triton 2+
    TT - Pro-ject Classic SB with Sumiko Bluepoint.

    TV 3.1 system -
    Denon 3500 -> Dynaudio Excite 32/22

    Looks like you nailed it... identical, except about half the price...

    I don't know what's worse, Energy or Jamo.

    What a clusterf#$k Klipsch has managed to make out of all their company acquisitions. They've ruined some otherwise great brands

    2 weeks ago at the CES 2012, Klipsch announced they've officially killed off Mirage as a speaker brand.

    Klipsch itself was purchased by Audiovox about a year ago....and Audiovox ran 2 of the most iconic speaker brands, Acoustic Research (AR) and Advent, into the ground before its purchase of the Klipsch Group.

    I am predicting Energy will be gone as a speaker brand within the next 3 years, leaving only Klipsch (for the more expensive models) and Jamo (for the less-expensive models).

    Very probable.Too bad because there was a time when API and it's Mirage ,Energy divisions had some real engineering clout and were developing some inovative and good sounding speakers.

    That's what happen when a company was run by people who were interested in producing quality, yet affordable, speakers. In my opinions, Audiovox/Klipsch is more interested in sku numbers and how many boxes can be shipped.

    Yeah looks like the bean counters have assumed control and peddling those Chinese boxes.
