Aragon 8008BB ok with 2.3tl's?

Would this amp be okay without having to have an A1 cable made? Would I have to jump the negatives? My TNT200 is a great amp, but I am always trying something different :redface: .

    I have a set of 2.3TL's and an Aragon 8008bb. I originally put the 8008bb on a set of 3.1TL's, and with that set of SDA's the 8008bb would put a "thumping" sound through the 3.1TL's and cause the 8008bb to go into protection mode. It would reset and then continue that in an endless cycle. After measuring the negative binding posts on the amp I discovered the impedance is 20.5 ohms. This is much too high for the SDA's and was causing the amp to go into protection mode. I then strapped the negative binding posts (after e-mailing Ricardo at Indy Audio to make sure it was OK) and it worked. I also got the components to make an AI-1 cable and built it, installed it and listened.

    I can say without a doubt that the AI-1 is much better than strapping the negative posts of the Aragon. The SDA image is wider, clearer and had better imaging using the AI-1 instead of strapping the negative posts. This is what I would recommend doing is building or having someone build an AI-1 for you.

    I need to correct myseld and say that there is 20.5 ohms of resistance, NOT impedance on the negative posts of the Aragon 8008bb. If you have AC where DC should be it's a problem. Anyway, it's resistance not impedance. It's too high for SDA's.
