I want to get a csi a6 but it is HUGE. I currently have a cs245i sitting on my tv stand, and my tv is on a box the same size as the speaker so the speaker doesn't block it. Does anyone have any creative ideas on where/how to place a center speaker? I can draw a picture of my set-up if you want.

You could always do the same thing, just build a bigger box. Otherwise what I am doing is removing the TV from the stand altogether. I plan on just placing the center on the TV stand, and wall mounting the TV directly above my TV stand (will look like it's on the stand, when in reality it's just floating above it)

I have one above my TV also on a shelf. And another (Gift from ChrisD) center Channel under my TV on a shelf.

Your the designer or can be if you think what pleases you.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

I've had mine in the floor, on a stand, and above, but by far the best placement is ear level for normal listening. Most of the time this would not be possible if don't have your set wall mounted.

Yup, wall mount the set above your stand. Looks the cleanest IMO.

Oh, that system I am building for a friend... He is going to have his TV wall-mounted above the stand as well. In order to hide the cables from the TV to the AVR, we bought a couple of these doodads from Monoprice:

Basically just a neater way of putting a couple of holes in the wall to route the wires through.

My stand is in the corner so behind it is just empty space, would be hard to wall mount. The stand is not deep enough to have the speaker and the tv box stand on it at the same time, well they would both be hanging slightly off, kinda dangerous for the tv I think lol. All the places for components in the stand are used with my receiver, dvr, consoles etc.

Does anyone know if the csi a6 is front heavy or rear heavy or normal? Because I could have around 8 inches on the stand, and 6 inches hanging over the front. lol. I assume it is front heavy because of the drivers?

    Monoprice has corner-friendly mounts.

Yep, can't beat Monoprice. If your TV is heavier they have a few more swivel mounts that aren't listed as corner-friendly but may work. Just read the reviews and see what others have to say about using them in a corner. This one, for example, will do 175 lbs:

First thing to do is see what kind of mounting pattern you need. I have a 40" Sony KDL-40Z4100/S and it has a somewhat unusual 300x300mm mounting pattern. A lot of the mounts only support up to 200x200 or 400x200. Once you know your mounting pattern that should narrow down the selection.

Yeah, that is 300x300mm with M6 screw holes, and weighs 39.9 lbs. That actually leaves you with only one choice that is listed as being corner friendly:

    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082806&p_id=8586

The ones you were looking at with the different arm sizes have a minimum VESA mount of 400x200, so they would not work for 300x300.

    that is unfortunate...

Guess i could try just putting my box up a little higher and seeing if the speaker will sit 6"s off the stand and if it can't then I'll fork out 100 bucks for a mount :S

That one should only be about $60 shipped. One of the images gives the dimensions, so you should be able to work out where the TV can actually be once you get it mounted.

I think I'll just build a wood shelf 10 inches above my stand and near the back and behind it to put my tv on it, and then I'll put my center on the stand. cheaper :D
