Comparing blu-ray players

How does blu-ray quality compare from different types of blu-ray players? Say an oppo-83, it costs like 800 bucks, or a Marantz UD5005 which is around 600. Ignoring all features of all blu-ray players like pandora, netflix, wireless etc, and only looking at video quality, how does it compare to say running a $65 asus internal blu-ray drive and outputting through my gtx 460 video card? How do these first 2 compare to the mid-range, 200 $ sharp or panasonic blu-rays, then finally how do they compare to a 65$ LG piece of plastic?

Basically how does a high-end video card with an internal blu-ray drive compare to external home theatre blu-ray players?
