I've got a real dilemma
Not sure which way to go here.
Some of you know of my set up and recent addition of A9's and currently using my M70's as surrounds.
My front stage is amped so I'm good there. I was planning on getting another amp, a 2ch amp to do the 9's and power the center and M70's with my current 3ch amp.
I did some Polk-ing around and found out it might not even be necessary to amp the M70's as my receiver is an Onkyo 807 and is powering the M70's in surround and M40's in the wide channel.
If my gain isn't going to be significant enough to warrant a second amp, my other option is to get a second Empire.
My original plan was to get the second amp first and then next year get a second sub.
Looking at my current set up, could I have some takes on this please?
Also keep in mind, the CS2 is on the way out and being replaced with the CSiA6, my dilemma is an amp or a sub.
Thank you in advance.

You won't really benefit from adding a separate amp for the surrounds.
I'd question how much you'll benefit from adding a second sub, as sometimes that creates more problems than it solves, but your room setup will be a big factor there so I won't rule that out.
Personally I'd spend that money on a better source (read better blu ray player or a good CDP), but that's just me. -
Good point, thanks, I've had my eye on the oppo bluray for some time.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

The Oppo is an excellent choice, along with a few of the Pioneer models. I have the Oppo 83 and (unless it breaks or tech fundamentally changes) it'll be the last Blu Ray player I plan to own, it does everything I need it to do and does it very well. It also does a respectable enough job with CD and SACD playback, works very well in my modest system. It won't win any awards in that arena, but I think it sounds very good.

Assimilated gave forth an interesting view.
I was hoping to get at least more than one opinion. Unless the entire population is in agreement with the last post?
Thanks.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

There is a nice Pioneer Elite BDP-05 for sale in the FM right now for a great price.

+1 on the oppo or get the Pioneer Elite dv-58 on the same FM as the BDP-05 and spend the change on your csi-a6.
