PSB Alpha B1s
The PSBs arrived today. Thanks Pepster! Packaged great and a pleasure to deal with! These little things sound wonderful. Great midrange with a laid back highend. Nora sounds awsome! Needs a sub, but just about any 5 1/4 is going to. Gonna do the HT thing with them soon.

PSB makes some great speakers. I've not heard many models but what I have heard I really like. I own the Image series and have heard the Synchrony and they're both fantastic. The Synchronys have some tough competition but they're still some of my favorite in that price range.
I have the Image Series in my living room now and they're just fantastic. With the exception of maybe the Rainmakers on some days of the week they're my favorites out of all the speakers I've ever owned, maybe not the best but my favorites.
They're not too picky with placement, but the PSBs more than any other speaker I've owned seem to rely or benefit heavily from good synergy in your gear, meaning getting them to sound their best can be a crap shoot. Maybe it's just that I've never found synergy before with any of my other speakers and I lucked into it with the PSB as I described HERE, but with the right setup they really shine.
I don't hear much talk about PSB really anywhere, but those Canadians know how to engineer a speaker. -
Yeah, I have never owned a pair before. I really, really like them. Almost a shame to use them for HT. Will probably have to get the Alpha C1 center now. I like my CS400i, but also like timbre matching:cheesygrin:
I was using my fxi3s as fronts for HT. These sound better. Prolly end up selling the fxi3s and the CS400i and go with PSB all around for HT.
