Polk Speaker Warrant question

edit: title should say warranty

I live in southern ontario, but I like to buy my speakers from the states because they are much cheaper. I usually get them off amazon and then ship them to the ups store in new york. I have never had a problem yet with anything breaking, but I just want to be sure I'm not voiding the warranty. Does the warranty I receive on the speakers carry over when I bring them to canada? Like can I send it to the canadian polk office for warranty, or do I have to send it to a US dealer? Also is this the same for anything bought in the states and brought back to canada (like receivers, amplifiers, etc)

I'm sure someone else will chime in, but I believe the warranty is not transferrable (i.e. you will need to send them to US Polk)

Some companies actually operate differently in different countries (which I believe is why some stuff like this gets seperated)

    Hello WB,
I checked with Polk's Canadian manager and received this reply:
"There is nothing wrong with Amazon shipping to a US address so warranty will apply even when the customer brings them across the border. As long as they have an invoice we will refer them to a warranty center for service."
    Regards, Ken
