Classic choke! What a shame. Plus the paa in the end zone that was knocked out of the receiver's hands. I'm still unsure if it was a bad play by the receiver or a good play by the defender. I know Raven's and Pat's fans will see it from their perspective. I'm curious to know how other's saw it.

    Tough loss for the Ravens.

Good luck to the Pat's! They made the plays, the Ravens didn't. It was anybody's game all day long. Too bad it ended with a choke.

I've been following the Pats for a while. I really thought that the Ravens would pull the upset off here.

You can check my posts where I had a Niners/Ravens SB. I "fully" expected Brady to screw up as he almost always does once "defenses" start to apply "heavy" pressure on a "mostly passing offense that is cripplingly dependent on awesome Brady performances to win". Take that away and, well, you have a real "game", maybe even a blow out!

Strangely, the Pats actually had "some" defense today. But give credit to Flacco he bested Brady today!

Of course the Pats also turned the ball over a bit too much.

But, let's face it...a Ravens-Niners or Giants SB would be a closer contest than I think we'll see in Indy.

If Brady decides to give us a "performance" like today's then expect the Pats to lose by at least 14 points! Or maybe we'll see that Eli Manning Hail Mary Pass again, the "improbable" reception.

Anyway you look at it. The Pats don't have the "complete" package to win the final game. And this from a Pats fan.

    Loss #2 for Brady!

So what else is new! If Billy B. were really a "great" coach (which I don't think he is) he'd have a more "diverse" (balanced, that is) offense and have beefed up that sorry "defense" (OK, to be fair....Wilfork was awesome today).

I'm not a fan of either team. I saw it as a good play by the defender... and an excellent pass... and an excellent catch... almost.

Have to agree with falcon...good pass that was (almost) caught but receiver was not in control of the ball before it got knocked out. Tough one, or sure.

    Kicker pulled a Tebow!

But what an awesome game between two great teams. Even though I'm a Pats fan i sorta felt bad after seeing the Ravens faces on the side-line when he missed. It was a look of disbelief. They played very hard and was a shoddy way to go out. But it happens. Go Pats

Oh and my Bruins won in the shootout. Go Boston!

They've had everything you've talked about not having for years. You cant consistently have a dominating team in all aspects of the game. There's too many variables main being money. "Money talks and BS walks" and lets face it at the rate they pay Brady there isnt much headroom remaining.

Coming from a pats fan, How many champioships do you want in a decade?

Looked like Evans had his second foot down before the ball started to come out. Regardless, where was the booth review?

I thought the same thing, but come on man... he's gotta pull that ball in and squeeze it. What a tough way for it end, though. It was hard enough as a fan... can't imagine being a player or coach. That will be a quiet trip home.

This sums it up for me! You don't miss 32 yd FG's...you just don't! None of this "win as a team, lose as a team" stuff...you don't miss 32 yd FG's! Your job is to kick FG's and kickoff. Thats all!

Yeah, good play by the defensive guy to strip Evans of the ball.
    No excuses!

Yeah, good play by the defensive guy to strip Evans of the ball.

Ravens fans (myself included) were spoiled by Matt Stover who was automatic at that distance. Definitely a bitter loss.

Negative. The Giants won the game, but they didn't outplay the 49ers, at least in the physical manner that you're referring to. This was a very evenly matched game that was decided by two fumbles by #10.

    strong bad is correct.
the simple fact of the matter is, Evans reception was contested and contested well. the defender won.
No defender was able to get to the kick.
if it had been a 49 yarder, i could dig it.
Cundiff will and should be run out of town on a rail.

Cundiff I can forgive as it was one bad kick and that stuff just happens from time to time. Williams fron th 49 ers though I cannot forgive, he made several mistakes and had a horrible game that cost his team a trip to the big game, I could not believe it last night as I watched.

Couple of points I haven't heard much of yet on TV.....
The kick was only to tie the game, correct?
Why didn't the sideline call a timeout to set up the kick...the entire play seemed rushed to me.
