Are they included with the stand or do you have to buy them seperately?

Searched their site and the web and not finding the answer.

TIA, tracy

SHould have said 404 series.

Also, what size shot and amount do you need? I will have 6 shelves.

Foot pads came with my VTI rack along with the spikes. I have a four shelf BL503 series (double wide). IIRC it took over 3 bags, maybe 4, of 7.5 shot. I had a couple of bags left from the shot shell reload days. I needed more and recall some sticker shock, shot had gone up!

I also knocked out the rubber plugs in the tubes and let shot get into the cross braces. A couple of tips if you use shot, plug the holes in the bottom of the cross braces where they meet the tubes. Use silicone, caulk, etc. They install rubber plugs in the tubes where the cross brace meets the tube but they can dislodge and small shot will find its way into the tube and out them small holes. Also run a bead of glue around the bottom caps. Over time, mine loosened from weight and vibes. I picked one shelf section up and a cap fell off. I was chasing shot all over the hardwood floor.

If I get another VTI rack, I think I'd do expandable foam in the cross braces and shot in the tubes.

Hmm! good idea with the foam, I left the cross bars unfilled and placed some Herbies grunge buster dots between the mdf and the rack for now to gauge the sound , I used stainless steel bb's and sand in the tubes with an asymmetrical fill method. From what I understand sand and lead shot fall into the absorption category, while steel resonates! I figured the sand and bb's would give the best of both absorption and drainage, instead of trying to trap the vibrations.Sounds better than my Lovan it replaced so far.
