The gov trying to control what you watch, read or say has been going on a long time... all the way back to the stone age, and SOPA/PIPA are just the latest flavor of the month. The 'V" chip comes to mind. I think this found it's way into televisions. Cable/Satellite providers know what you watch too, as do the ISP's... nothing new at all. All the Gov needs to do is ask them. Everything you read, watch, or speak they already have. They are using that information to shape what you think. All one needs to do is look at how news programs have shifted from reporting the truth to telling you what you should think about the news as well.

This trend began as I can tell, with a show called "Face the Nation" and "60 Minutes". The "Today Show" joined the ranks and featured a segmnet called "not For Women Only: with Barbara Walters. These shows were the template for the crap that serves for news today. I watch very little TV these days as I don't need an idiot box, boob-tube, or whatever you want to call it trying to tell me what to think.

Its all infotainment now, and we have become skulls of mush that cannot form an opinion without being told how to arrive at a particular point of view. Now that sitcoms and dramas all have an agenda to push, I am done watching alltogether.

Yeah. Was not meant to be serious. Happy I use OTA for TV and as far as internet goes....it says I'm in Georga or Cali when ever I connect. If they wanted to trace the phone number/ip it would lead to Joe Blow's disposable phone, yes GPS is disabled.

Go to BBC for real news.
Network tv news has become brain dead.
Do we really need to have someone standing in the rain
in front of a building to tell us "yes, three hours ago someone
in this building said something of interest".
Or another one of those "human interest" crap piles
that passes for news. Morning shows are even worse.
I don't watch them, and if the wife has it on, I leave the room.
I remember news anchors reading the news. The only time they went
onsite if something really big was happening live. Not to just stand there with
a back drop and rattle off nonsense.

I do watch BBC news...but that's all way off topic. This has to do with SOPA that was started in 2005, like I said if ya know, ya know. If you don't know then you missed what I was saying in my other 2 posts. First post should have said, How many SOPA posts have I missed in the past couple of years with my spotty internet. When I saw the first SOPA thread, was not sure if it was going to pertain to the current event, or the original SOPA

Damn it Keiko... I can't watch that stuff. It would be quicker for me to fly out to your place and watch it. Now if you post the link I might be able to check it out on the phone

This has nothing to do with the bills that they were/are trying to pass. This is a totally different SOPA I am referring to. I am going to get my butt kicked for even typing about it.
Don't worry SOPA members your secret is still safe. I know the first rule, but I'm not a member so how can I be breaking the rules?:)

That is too bad for you, because there was some great information in that video, including in the second half. He talks as much as he does because there is a lot of information he needs to give out in those videos.
