    At least she got some wider recognition towards the end because of that tv commercial. What do you know, tv does some good.

    I was in a band that covered some of her tunes. We had a really good female singer, but she was no Etta James :cool:

    Saw her in concert in the late 80's in Newport, RI and she was quite the presence. Great voice!!!

    Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
